Split PDF

Split a PDF by page ranges, every N pages, or extract selected pages.

Split one PDF into several smaller files, or pull out just the pages you need. Separate a scanned batch into single documents, send one chapter of a long report, or save every page as its own PDF.

How to split a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF on the page or choose it from your device.
  2. Choose a split mode: every N pages, custom ranges (for example 1-3; 4-6; 7-), or extract pages into one file. The number of files is shown before you split.
  3. Select Split PDF, then download each file or all of them as a ZIP.

Why no upload matters

Splitting is how people share just the part of a document that matters, which only helps if the rest stays private. The whole PDF is split in your browser and never uploaded, so the pages you keep back really stay with you.

Ways to split

  • Every N pages: 1 gives one PDF per page, 2 gives pairs of pages, and so on.
  • Custom ranges: one file per range, separated by semicolons. A range can be open-ended, such as 7- for page 7 to the end.
  • Extract pages into one file: tap the page thumbnails, or type a range, to copy just those pages into a single new PDF.
  • Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable, and the files are named after the pages they contain.

Limits

  • Split PDF copies pages; it does not cut a single page into parts. To trim the edges of pages, use Crop PDF.
  • Bookmarks and form fields from the original may not carry over to the new files.
  • To reorder, rotate or delete pages while keeping one file, use Delete & reorder pages.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF into separate pages?

Drop the PDF here, choose Every N pages with 1 page per file, and select Split PDF. Download all to get every page in a ZIP.

How do I extract a few pages from a PDF?

Choose Extract pages into one file, tap the pages you want (or type a range such as 2, 5-8) and select Split PDF. You get one new PDF with just those pages.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is split in your browser on your own device and is never sent to a server.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied without re-compressing, so text and images are unchanged.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you know the password. You enter it when you open the file and it is only used on this device.

How do I put pages back together?

Use Merge PDF to combine PDFs into one file in the order you choose.
